A Round of Applause Please......

For THE DRESSER !!!!

WOO HOOOO i finished it last night.Poor Shane, ready for bed at 10.30pm and im saying "Hey wheres the Drill, can you do those draws for me???" I seriously just do not stop. I am always up late finishing something or starting something....when the mind is racing you just gotta go with it !
So anyhooo i finished the dresser and my painting too. Another late night :) Every morning i wake up like a zombie and i can often be found still in my pj's at 11am hee hee. Oh well. I am really not a morning girl, never have been, never will be. Sam even knows that Mummy doesnt function properly for a while once she's up, LOL, i just go on auto pilot. I think lots of us with kids do.

Ok so i am raving on and you're thinking ok Shannon show us the Dresser and shutup.
Ok Ok here it is. i Looooove it.It has some of my favourite pretties on it. I didnt want to over crowd it, i wanted it simple yet pretty. I also had to be careful what i put on the bottom shelf because of the cats....just waiting now for which one will jump up there first..... My mosaic iced pots are up the top and my
newest print from sweet Gail is there too. It fits in so well with my trios. The Bust you can see on the bottom shelf is from my lovely Mummy :0 she surprised me with her yesterday.....doesnt she look just lovely on there.

I used a Mary Rose fabric in the doors and the hand cut glass knobs are from Jane @ knobsmacked on Ebay. She's a real doll.

Hee hee i am sooo tickled pink i cant stop looking at it :)

Since i have a 'bit of a thing' for chairs (ok you can all stop agreeing now)i thought i should paint one! I used my fav Bentwood as a model and off i went. This one was painted using Oil Paints. I used to paint in Oils all the time but havent done so for a while. I love how i can blend and blend to my hearts content.Plus i am one of those painters who, for days, walks past her work and 'adds' to it. Hopeless.
I will probably pop this on Ebay once it dries some more.

Well its a rainy day again here today and Sam and i have constructed a tent in the loungeroom once again. So i am off now to play inside the tent with my lil man :)

Luv Ya!
Shann xo

Your dresser looks pretty. The bust is like the one I have on my dresser(check out my pic on my blog). You have just enough goodies on the dresser so it doesn't look overcrowded. Hope that platter at the back is safe from the kitty cats.
Way to go girl!!

This is exo!!! God luv ya, you are one clever chickie. Where did you put it? Love all your treasures on it. You sound like me - making your husband get the drill out at unreasonable times of the day. I made Andrew bash a shelf out of a wardrobe last night and he was ready to go to bed also, but I wouldn't have been able to sleep if things weren't right haha.
