Happy Fathers Day To My Hubby

Well tomorrow is Fathers Day so i am posting now in case i dont get the chance to do it tomorrow (on account of being exhausted and full of too much food to be able to move AT ALL).
This year i am paying tribute to my hubby Shane.
Fathers Day is so special to us because we almost lost Shane just over a year ago to life threatening complications from his Cancer that saw him in hospital for well over 4 months. It was such a dreadful and heartbreaking time for us so we really cherish each day that he is with us. Fathers Day is particularly special because we are so grateful to God that he didnt take Shane away from Sam and that they are able to have this day together. They have a very special father and son bond that i hope they will hold in their hearts forever.

Heres a snap i took of Shane today...i was thinkin he was lookin kinda sweet ...**GRIN**

This is a random photo of the 3 of us a few months after Shane got out of hospital. Not the best ever photo but i love that its just casual and we look so happy.

So Happy Fathers Day to my Hubby and to my lovely Dad, My Stepdad and my Dad In Law. I love you buggers heaps and heaps! To the Dads and Grandads that are no longer with us...we will be thinking of you...we miss you always :)

Great post Shannon. It is only when we nearly lose someone that we realise how lucky we are to have them in our lives. Have a great Fathers Day with all of the family.

Hi Shannon,Thanks for posting on my blog. The Jujy fruits were yum, no wonder Elaine ate the whole box herself and never shared them. We are Seinfeld fans too. There are so many things that we quote at each other in our family that sometimes it seems like we are on the set of Seinfeld.

Wow, big hugs to you and Shane and Sam!!! I'm so glad that you still have your hubby, and Sam still has his daddy, I hope you guys have a fantastic day. My dad also had cancer when I was small. They gave him a year to live when I was about a year old, and he lived another 30 years! We cherished every one, too. Praying for continued good health for Shane. *mwah*
