RAIN DROPS ON ROSES AND CANDY STRIPED FABRIC

Hee Hee sounds like a fun combination doesn't it ? You were singing "Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens" weren't you..? LOL sorry to disappoint you.

Well let me explain the title to you then.
Firstly it's a cold and rainy day here today (as you may have already gathered) and secondly i've been 'fiddlin' with stuff. What else is a gal to do on a day like this?

I tootled barefoot outside in the rain with the top of my camera covered with plastic wrap..oh what must my neighbours think....actually you know what? There aren't shocked by anything i do anymore.
So i took some piccies of my first roses for spring!
This one is right by the front steps and the fragrance flows into the house right through Spring and Summer. I love it !

This one is one of 6 over in the far corner of the front garden. It's covered in buds and is just the most perfect shade of PINK !

Last week i weeded the front flower beds and filled them with petunias, i had a few left over so i popped them in the birdbath (which has a crack in it anyway so it was useless for water).

Oh good grief i missed a weed! look its right there for the world to see! LOL.
Better go dig that lil sucker up hey!

OK now onto the Candy Stripes.
Take 2 scrolly frames in different sizes.....add some pretty fabric to both....grab your craft glue and some pink ribbon....hmm...now a little touch of bling perhaps..??
YEP YOU BETCHA.

And then put them all together....and you have 'Shannons Scrolly Framed Fabric Thingymajiggy-whatchamacall it" LOL, I'm so fancy !! HAHAHA

Ooooh it all looks so pretty together doesn't it!

It was so easy to do!

And how gorgeous is my new lamp that i bought from my sweet friend of many years Cherrie@ Country Wishes.

SO that's my rainy day so far......
Tonight we are off to dinner with Shane's brother Craig and his wife Sarah,to celebrate their little one who is now growing inside Sarah's tumm! YAY I'm gonna be an Aunty again!

I hope you're all having a sweet and fun weekend with family and friends!

I'll be back in a few days to post about My Breast Cancer Awareness Party !

Make sure you pop back and i do hope you will all join in! It's for such a good cause!

LOVE AND PINK KISSES,

Shann xxx

AND THANKYOU SOOOO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO LEFT ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES !!!

Seeing those first blooms of spring really does put a bounce in your step....even if it was a rainy day today but our gardens need the rain anyway. Won't be long and the garden will be full of fragrant roses. Aahhhh...just more inspiration to paint.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

Lovely roses! My oh my! I can smell them from here, I think. Terrific idea on planting some flowers in the birdbath, LOL. Will look so handsome with flowers tumbling out in a few short weeks. And I am constantly amazed how you can combine things to make them so pretty! Can you send me some of your energy and creativity? Pretty please?!

Who cares what the neighbours think of you plastic wrapping your camera, being outside playing in the rain is a delightful part of spring that more of us should enjoy.

Have yourself a great day playing with all your lovely treasures.

Hi Shannon,
I am giggling to myself about you wandering around your garden with the camera covered in plastic wrap....what we do to snap a good picture hey. Your roses are beautiful. I now wish I had gotten organised earlier & planted some in the pots on the verandah. I love your new thingymajiggy-whatchamacall it!!!!! I bought some pale green striped fabric recently & think you may have given me some inspiration of what to do with it.
