Okay, teenage silliness aside (oh but its so much fun)...
Here are a few of my Works In Progress. The Powder Room sign i hope to finish tomorrow and the bottom one is going to be a Cupcake Art.

Hopefully my Sam will not be such a grouch tommorrow and let Mummy do some work. We are spending lots of time watching DVD's.....The Little Mermaid is a favourite so i shall be singing 'Under da Sea' next. But we also love Poohs Heffalump Movie mostly because of the little heffalump called (of course) LUMPY. We love his little English accent and he says "Have you got any Rumple Doodles?" its so sweet but i have no idea what a rumple doodle is...it sounds so wrong LOL

Anyway gosh am i rambling on. I dont know whats made me so crazy today...surely it couldnt have anything to do with that empty wine bottle.....??????????

Mummy, do you know why plaster is so heavy????

This is the question my brave boy woke up and asked me at 3am the morning after his surgery.
Funny the things that go through kids minds hey.

As you all would have figured out by now Sams operation went very well. He was so brave which is more than i can say for this little chickadee (blubbering,cranky mess of a woman i was). We shared a room with some other little darlins that were in a bad way but Sam kept the room full of humour with his Spanish Inquisition! The nurses thought he was hilarious! I actually got very sick (in hospital, go figure hey) but had to hide it from the nurses or they'd send me home. AND NO WAY WAS I LEAVING MY BOY ! The plaster has to stay on for 6 weeks, it will be off 5 days before Sams 4th Birthday. Dammit, i kept telling everyone Sam was gonna be plastered (drunk...you know) on his birthday!!
He is managing really well and i am so darn proud of him. he scoots around the house on his bum because he cant walk as the plaster is right up to his thigh, with his leg in the bent position, this is so he doesnt put weight on his foot and totally screw up the whole operation.
My back is getting a major workout from carrying him when he has to go the toilet, to bed, etc etc.
BUT before we know it the 6 weeks will be over and his lil' foot will be straight as an arrow! Meantime we have lots of craft activities planned including a SAM scrapping book. I bought a zillion sheets of scrappin' paper from Natasha Burns so we are all set to go! Should be fun, frustrating at times too, no doubt, but we will muddle through.

LASTLY.....Thanks gals for all the well wishes.You are all so thoughtful and sweet. My heart is full :)

Time to go to Hospital....

This is my last entry for a week or so. Sam is going into hospital on Thursday morning for more surgery on his right foot, so we will be there for a few days. I get to sleep at the hospital with him thank goodness.He is going to be in plaster for 6-8 weeks with it right up above his knee in a bent position so he cant walk and put pressure on it. Oh boy. It will take some time to work out how we will get around with the average every day things he does. If you could send some good wishes Sams way we would really appreciate it. Its always scary to have your child in hospital for surgery.



On a brighter note i made these yummy cuppies for my nieces 18th on the weekend. It was nice to make some real ones for a change! Sam was the most excited i think, as he is so used to Mummy's pretend cupcakes :) So it was a real treat to actually get some we could eat! And let me just say one thing........YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Thank Goodness they arent real!

I have just listed my latest yummy Faux Treats on Ebay. I always have soooo much fun making them. Sometimes i forget they arent real but, and i go to lick my fingers ERGH that would NOT taste good :)

ALSO a big THANKS to everyone who has emailed and blogged asking how my Chloe girl is :)
She had her big operation yesterday and is home and doing ok. I will take a picture of her tomorrow with her massive tummy bandage, it looks like a doggy corset :)
Thankyou again, it meant so much to me.

Next week will be a frantic week also as Sam goes into hospital on Thursday for surgery on his right leg and foot. I am going to be a blubbering mess. I hate the whole idea of it.I will be staying at the hospital with him for the 3 days.
Seems like an endless stream of operations at our house......Cant wait till its all over.

I hope you all had a beautiful Mothers Day.
We had a yummy BBQ (not the sausage and bread type but, yuk)and some equally yummy champagne! (not Sam of course LOL).
My men gave me lovely pink pj's and pink Betty Boop slippers (all of which i did request as i needed them big time). Sam also made me a sweet card and pink bath crystals at Pre School. Apparantly he told his teacher THEY HAVE TO BE PINK...he knows me so well :)

The best prezzie of all was the little bunch of seaside daisies Sam picked for me at mums place and then grinning from ear to ear, walked inside and gave to me :)
They are the best flowers a gal could ask for.



My husband Shane took this pic of us yesterday. I love it but i can hear mum yelling at me now for posting it LOL. Sorry Mum!! At least its not the one she looks drunk in HA HA HA.

Happy Mums Day Tomorrow

Myself, Shane and Sam will be spending the day with my Mum and Stepdad at their place. We always have lotsa giggles, especially if mum and i get into the wine !!! LOL

Yukky News

Yesterday we took my gorgeous Golden Retriever, Chloe, to the vets to have a lump checked out that i had found on her. My poor baby has to go in next week and have a huge chunk of her side removed as they are sure it is cancer.I hear that word and i cannot breathe (my husband almost died last year from it). Anyone who owns a pet will know the feeling that your pets are family, your children. I cried for hours last night. I have faith though that God will watch over my darlin girl and make everything ok.
This is her on the left with our big boy Fraser :) Look at those faces will ya !Cheeky monkeys.

Decoupage Virgin and Some Random Pretty Stuff.

I have never in my life attempted to Decoupage anything.HOWEVER i recently bought this gorgeous coffee table with long Queen Anne legs and after painting it white i thought hmmm i may just give that a really good rub back and then try to decoupage the top of it.
I have cut up some old Country mags and some beautiful vintage paper i found in a draw (umm how did it even get there..??). Heres how i am going with it so far. Lots more piccy's to cut out still, but i am just lovin' it.



I loooove prezzies. I love giving them and receiving them. Today Jullie (Jullies World) came down for luch and a chat and she bought me the sweetest lil' strawberry soap! You know, one of those lovely ones that you cannot bear to use?It has to be strictly decoration only("This ones goin' straight to the Pool Room") My husband does not understand the concept of 'Decoration Soap' LOL or decoration tea towels/hand towels, pillows etc etc. We women get it but! I mean really, who in their right mind would wipe their grubby hands on a perfectly white Rachel Ashwell hand towel, for goodness sake??? A man, thats who. Well mine man does anyway. ARGH!!All these years and he still doesnt get it......thats why i am training Sam young :)

Mum bought me these cute little pink acrylic beady things today. I walked around the house with them looking for the perfect spot......FOUND IT! In my new Pink Kitchen Scales of course. Where else!They look like lollies being weighed...yummy.


You know some days you just want to change everything around? I did a bit of that yesterday. I get tired of lookin' at the same old thing all the time (husbands included sometimes LMAO) so i need to move em around. Yesterday i put these cute orphan side plates on the window sill and i think they look so sweet, so does Sam, Shane hasnt even noticed....and they are right near the TV too......hmmmmm.

OH No I've been TAGGED....TWICE !!!!

SO HERE GOES......

1) I am terrified of Clowns. I just go sick inside if i see one, i will cross the street to avoid them. Eww, just yuk. They freak me right out. Its not even funny if someone teases me about them.

2) I am also scared of water and i will not walk over a drain (imagine if it fell in....think about it), AND i dont like dolls. NO DOLLS.

3) The absolutely last thing i have to do before i get into bed is pee (ok i know thats a bit eww). If i have to get back up for some reason i have to then go back and pee again. I know, i know.....

4)I love Neil Diamond. My friends that ive had for years just dont get this at all. I am not into hip hop crap. I love Neil, been to see him twice, both times i took my Dad. Now my little guy is hooked on him too :)
I love that.

5) I cannot stand listening to people eat. It seriously grosses me out, makes my skin crawl and i will tell them outright and have to leave the room.

6)I wanted to be Prison Officer when i was in High School. SERIOUSLY. I have a friend who is one and i still think 'I wonder...' when he talks about work...

7) For those that dont already know this, i am very anal about my pretty cushions. I cannot stand it when people sit all over them and they get all scrunched up. You can see the tension in my face. I cant go to bed without making sure they are all neat and tidy. Ive tried....it doesnt work.


So there you have it... not so weird.
