ABOUT A BOY.....

This boy

My Sam. The kid who can make me laugh and cry all in one hit. He's a little legend and a cheeky brat too.
Yep i can say that coz he's mine :)

Today he made me laugh my you know what off.

We played Hide and Seek.
I could hear the giggling while i counted..1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10..ready or not here i come....

"Hmm...where could Sam be??"
giggle giggle from somewhere close by...
"Hmmm i wonder if Sam's in the fridge...?"
More giggling...
"Nope he's not in the fridge.Maybe he's in the dishwasher..."

By now the giggling is very loud....wet your pants laughing kinda loud.

That's when i notice them. Ten cute little toes....lotsa giggling...and a cat called Scamp giving it all away.
I grabbed the camera (lucky it was right near where the giggler was hiding)

AND SNAP i sneakily took a photo. Here's a hint....
Remember this book? It's one of our faves to read.


Well there was no WOCKET IN MY POCKET.NOT EVEN A NOOKGASE IN MY BOOKCASE.
BUT there sure was A JERTAIN IN THE CURTAIN !!!



LOL can you see those cute little toes peeking out there? Cracks me up!

Of course i had to pretend i didn't see them.
"hmmm....i think i might just open the window here and see if Sam is outside...."

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH" the owner of that giggle leapt out at me !


Fits of laughter everywhere and a very happy little boy, content with the fact that he is the hide and seek champion and he 'Scared mummmy's lights out.'

Dont cha just love how much our kids make us laugh?
You gotta love it.

Ive been outta the loop with Faux Cuppies for a while...needed a break from them i guess.

These are just samples of a few that i am creating right now. Im soooooo excited about this new line of casings as NO-ONE else has done these yet! HAHA notice i said 'yet'.

BREAKFAST FOR BREASTS

Hi all my lovely friends!
This post is about something so important i just cant express how much.



Most of you would be aware that October is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH.
Im sure in some way we all know someone that has been affected by cancer, whether it be Breast Cancer or another form of Cancer...it may be a close friend, a family member, a friend of a friend, or perhaps even yourself...
For me it's my husband who is in remission from Hodgekins Disease and not so long ago i lost one of my dearest and sweetest friends of 30 years through cancer.

So you see, I feel very strongly about helping to find a cure for this horrid disease and im sure you all feel the same.

So here is where YOU can HELP and JOIN ME FOR SOME FUN IN HONOUR OF THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING, THOSE WHO HAVE SURVIVED AND THOSE WE HAVE SADLY LOST.

On OCTOBER 20th i invite ALL OF YOU to join me in hosting your very own BREAKFAST FOR BREASTS.




There are 2 parts to this Virtual Party.

1) For YOU to host a fun pink breakfast on your blog in honour of every female out there affected by Breast Cancer...AND to have a good time for them!

2) I also ask that you offer something for sale that day whether it be via your blog, website or etsy etc....AND donate the proceeds from that sale to your nearest Breast Cancer Foundation. Your item should be something pretty and sweet that can make a gal smile.....and there is no minimum or maximum dollar amount because we all know that EVERY CENT HELPS!


I TRULY HOPE YOU WILL ALL JOIN ME ON THIS SPECIAL DAY... AND PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD BY ADDING THE BREAKFAST FOR BREASTS BUTTON TO YOUR BLOG AND LINKING IT BACK TO THIS POST.

RAIN DROPS ON ROSES AND CANDY STRIPED FABRIC

Hee Hee sounds like a fun combination doesn't it ? You were singing "Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens" weren't you..? LOL sorry to disappoint you.

Well let me explain the title to you then.
Firstly it's a cold and rainy day here today (as you may have already gathered) and secondly i've been 'fiddlin' with stuff. What else is a gal to do on a day like this?

I tootled barefoot outside in the rain with the top of my camera covered with plastic wrap..oh what must my neighbours think....actually you know what? There aren't shocked by anything i do anymore.
So i took some piccies of my first roses for spring!
This one is right by the front steps and the fragrance flows into the house right through Spring and Summer. I love it !


This one is one of 6 over in the far corner of the front garden. It's covered in buds and is just the most perfect shade of PINK !


Last week i weeded the front flower beds and filled them with petunias, i had a few left over so i popped them in the birdbath (which has a crack in it anyway so it was useless for water).

Oh good grief i missed a weed! look its right there for the world to see! LOL.
Better go dig that lil sucker up hey!

OK now onto the Candy Stripes.
Take 2 scrolly frames in different sizes.....add some pretty fabric to both....grab your craft glue and some pink ribbon....hmm...now a little touch of bling perhaps..??
YEP YOU BETCHA.

And then put them all together....and you have 'Shannons Scrolly Framed Fabric Thingymajiggy-whatchamacall it" LOL, I'm so fancy !! HAHAHA


Ooooh it all looks so pretty together doesn't it!

It was so easy to do!

And how gorgeous is my new lamp that i bought from my sweet friend of many years Cherrie@ Country Wishes.


SO that's my rainy day so far......
Tonight we are off to dinner with Shane's brother Craig and his wife Sarah,to celebrate their little one who is now growing inside Sarah's tumm! YAY I'm gonna be an Aunty again!

Im off to lunch soon with Sam and Mum and im smelling all fruity in my new DKNY pefume from hubby *smiles*

Today i am not gonna worry about the C word and the F word ie: Calories and Fat !

NUP today im going to choose the yummiest, most chocolatey dessert on the menu and eat it all! I may even lick the plate BECAUSE ITS MY BIRTHDAY AND I CAN.
HAHAHAHAHA !

I even made myself a party hat.
Yep im a DOOFUSS !
Should i wear it to lunch you think??


Grrrr to getting older and Grrrrrr to making that face and realising i have lots of wrinkles when i do it..LOL.


Well all i can do today is look 36 right in the eye and GIGGLE !!!!!

TWEAKIN' THE DRESSER and so on and so on....

You would think since I've cut out sugar from my diet that id be tired and horizontal on the couch hey? Nup, instead I've found this new kind of energy that has me buzzin like a bee on yippee beans! I cant stop! I'm painting, I'm re-arringin', I'm tweakin', it's madness i tell you, complete and utter MADNESS !
LOL but I'm lovin it! Not sure about Shane though...yesterday he came home, walked in the bedroom (where i was was folding clothes, wearing a sheepish grin and avoiding eye contact)and declared "You just cant help yourself can you?" He was referring to his once timber bedside table...i say 'once' because yesterday i painted it white ! I laughed my hiney off and said "Babe it's the yippee beans, it's outta my control" !
Today I'm off and racing again....tweakin the dresser! Well it needed dusting so why not tweak it a bit while I'm there? I'm really lovin' the bottom shelf now. I slightly frou froued some sweet old glass bottles i had and popped them on an old bevelled mirror with some of my other pretties. OHMYGAWD can you believe this mirror fell off my wall last week, in the middle of the night and DIDN'T BREAK??? True! I just about wet myself when i woke up and saw it on the floor! Just goes to show they made em to last in the good ole days!

I'm bringing in some more blue into our Family Room because we are getting new sofas and i REALLY REALLY NEED THESE!



They are a real icy blue and i adore them. I know you're thinking, Uh Shann, they aren't pink.....Well i know that but i love blue too and our Family room has to suit everyone... and it just helps that i saw these and i want to marry them. LOL.
Im still in the process of convincing Shane but......i told him i would clean up the dog poop for a month if he got me these..he saw right through that lie but..DRAT he knows me so well. Onto plan b then i think!!
