SOMEBODY SAY CHRISTMAS ????

YES somebody did ! And that somebody is my sweet friend Kathryn over @ ourshabbycottage.! Actually Kathryn has mentioned the 'C' word quite a few times in that past few posts.....so much so that she got me thinking CRIKEY , STREUTH and STRIKE ME PINK SHEILA she's right! CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!
SO i went for a virtual stroll down christmas creation lane to see what OLDIES BUT GOODIES id be offering again this Chrissy time.

THE GREAT POOCHIE RESCUE

Ahhh a lazy Sunday morning....rained over night....maybe a a bit of a storm..not that i heard it...SNORE SNORE SNORE LOL...left hubby in bed to sleep in...watching cartoons with Sam...."Sam im just going out the back to give Fraser and Chloe their biscuit (morning ritual)...walk out the back "Good morning buddy, wheres your sister?" ....???? check yard, check garage and all its hiding spots...Chloe hates storms and tends to hide....uh NO CHLOE..panic sets in CHLOE???? CHLOE!!!!!! You panic, it must be like losing your child...i ran to the pool yard, i even looked in the pool!She wasnt there Thank God. Then i ran to the side of the garage where the pool filter etc is...YEP there she was! (She has gotten in there before you know). My poor scared girl, all soaking wet, covered in mud and very frightened.

Yep, she squeezed past all that stuff.But first she squeezed through the pool fencing to get there! Go figure! I guess when youre that scared the adrenilan just kicks in .

Mummy HELP ME !


Ok before you all think im heartless, i did send Sam inside to get Shane and my camera and Shane was working on unscrewing the fence while i took pics of my girl. I had too, it was just so priceless!

It's ok Chloe, daddys here to help you now.

Yep, thats right, i sent hubby climbing over all that stuff to get in there (hey i did it last time coz no-one else was home to help, so i figured it was his turn)

FREEDOM AT LAST!
Can you believe we've been here 3 years and we just discovered this was a gate??? It was all bolted down. We had no idea, it just looks like fence.

A PERFECTLY PINK OVERLOAD !!!!!

Hiya sweet girls ! Thought id just pop my head in today and say a little hiya to ya'll :)
I've been out in the sunshine playing in the front yard with Sam and acting like a total nutt... but thats ok coz as mums we are allowed to do that right *wink*
Sams latest thing is "mummy be a horsie" YIKES, yeah my back aint lovin' it so much..buts its so funny so i put myself through the pain just to hear Sam laugh so hard he almost wets himself.
Now if thats not worth it then what is ??
And finally ive finished a bunch of private orders ive had so that meant i could at last list some new prettys on my website! My poor little website has been feeling a bit ignored lately...boo hoo.
BUT now ive prettied her up with some PERFECTLY PINK OVERLOAD !

Ooooh i just loooove prezzies !

Well colour me PINK coz i am one excited and happy lil chickie!

I'll show you why ..and then i'll TELL you why....

Only one problem...i cant find 4 candles the same colour in my house...oh well any excuse to go shopping for some.
BUT best of all...MY MUMMSY GAVE HER TO ME !
I KNOW !!!! IS she the best mum ever or what!!
Well theres a story to this...its long so i'll try and shorten it.
We went antiquing.We found the candlelabra (ARGH mum saw it first). Mum bought it to re-sell on Ebay (i could have cried or tripped her over, or both). SO..then really wicked woman (think the evil queen in Snow White) bought it on Ebay and the sale fell through. Mum relisted it (yes, even after all my begging to just give it to me already )and then mum said "well if it doesn't sell this time you can have it."

You're picturing me now aren't you...sitting there wishing bad things to anyone who dared to bid on it...*hee hee*
GUESS WHAT?? YEAH that's right...IT DIDN'T SELL !!! So after all this time it was truly meant for my dining table. I told mum she could have saved ALOT of time and heartache if she'd have just given it to me in the first place....Parents. i swear, they never listen. *wink*

here's one more look (a close up).... because i know you want one *smiles*


So speaking of my mum....I know many of you read her blog and she hasn't been around for ages.....she is just very busy working and her knees are giving her absolute sheer hell right now (theres just no delicate way to put it im afraid), but she does say HI and maybe she will blog again soon, perhaps after her knee operation which happens on 4th December.

Even with crappy knees my mum still manages to have her gorgeous home and garden. I took these pics of her front porch area on Sunday as i was leaving (really quickly with my candlelabra before she changed her mind). Oh, id like to see her chase me with her bad knees anyway ! LOL, sorry mum. You know i Luv Ya.

It's such a pretty and sunny spot. That's mums Canary 'William' soaking up some sunshine in his cage.



Nice place to relax with a glass of bubbles and a chockie huh? LOL, been there, done that!

THE BRENDA PHOTO CHALLENGE

'Things With Wings' is the theme this time around and hey I'm the host!!!WOOHHOOOO

It seems that all the bees, butterflies and birds must have known i was trying to photograph them because they were either non-exist ant this past week or they were just plain rude and turned their backs on me and flew away. Little buggers. I couldn't even manage to get a photo of a plane or helicopter.Now this is particularly pathetic because we live near a hospital and the Rescue Helicopter is always flying in and out..but oh no...not when I'm ready with my camera! It seemed to turn up at the most inconvenient times..like when i was cooking, washing or in the 'ahem' bathroom *wink*

I did however,manage to get a shot of Sam with his 'pet' magpie who visits us each day for a feed.
The thing you should know about Sam is that he loves all living things and no matter what it is, it's his pet and he names it Wilburt (yes this is anything from ants, bees and magpies to elephants).
So here is Sam and Wilburt number 5 billion, sharing a cupcake, LOL.


Then i remembered my Cupcake Angels i made and sold last Christmas.....they had wings!


Now this cheeky lil Mr Blue Wren was doing his best to get away from me...HAHA you little rat, i got you in the end! Well...kinda.

I HAVE A LITTLE 'SPRING' IN MY STEP TODAY...

And it's because today is the first day of SPRING !!
I loooove Spring, it's my favourite time of year! The flowers are blooming, the trees are covered in new leaves, lambs are frolicking in the fields, baby deer are being born surrounded by forests full of bunnies and cute lil skunks...Oh wait, thats Walt Disneys spring...not mine...LOL...but you get my drift anyway!

But spring around here does mean plenty of frolicking in the sunshine for boys named Sam...


and pussy cats doing not-so-much frolicking but still soaking up the sunshine in their own unique way.



AND for me....well i get to wear my new open toe shoes without my poor toes turning blue from the freezing cold. (see the blingy ones...Sam chose them for me!)


And it also means that at around 2pm when the sun comes around the western side of my house...my sunny spot is ready for me to enjoy with a good book.


And it also means that pussy cats can catch those last rays of warm sunshine late in the afternoon on mummys sofa and bed *smiles*




So bring on a little bit of Sunshine, Warmth and Love i say......and now i must put down the chocolate bar and get on that treadmill *phooey* I miss winter....*wink*

BLING YOUR BIRDCAGE...(and ive found my girls)

Got a bird cage laying around that needs some help in the Frou Frou Department??
Well let me introduce you to Birdcage FROU FROU extraordinaire, and all round BLING MASTER.....Samuel 5 !!

Take one very basic birdcage...

Get mummy to spray it a little bit to freshen it up...remove the base (and bird first of course)LOL.

Then take one cute (and very funny) kid


and then let him loose with the birdcage and some of mummy's stuff.



Hey enough posing, you're not done yet!



Get back to work.................yes thats better.

I've lost all my girls!!!!

This was the scene last night when in fact i ran screaming from my office and ranting to Shane that i'd lost all the girls!

Bordering on DAZED AND CONFUSED...

What on earth was this crazy wife of his talking about????
THE GIRLS! i told him. I LOST EM ALL!And by the girls i mean all of you!

thats because i lost you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was trying to be clever and add a new background and i lost all my widgets (good grief thats a funny word). Even as i was doing it i was telling myself COPY AND SAVE THE OLD ONE SHANNON.
AND STILL...i hit delete without thinking...
And in a flash you were all abolished.
And i became insane.
I could cry.
In fact i did.
Just a little.
Ok ALOT.
Ssshhhh.

So now i start the journey of re-doing my page (i lost my pics on the side bar too).
I need your help!!! Leave me a comment so i can re-add you all....otherwise i will still be here when im old and grey (and lets face it, that aint too far off) looking for you all in blogland.

You know what but? I dont blame myself entirely...Nooo,truly i dont....and with good reason too.

I blame the nagging male voices who are constantly in my ear whenever im trying to do anything in the office. See they distracted me with their whining and bickering(hey thats my story and im stickin' with it).... My Husband, My Son and My dad. I love em but GEESH fellas will you all SHUDDDUUUUPPPP once in a while! LOL.

Ok so now the long journey begins....finding my girls again.

A little trip to the Library....

Sam and i tootled off to the library today after preschool.....Ooooh but first we stopped at Cookie Man but thats a whole other story...*grin*
Anyhoo i found this gorgeous book called Tattered Treasures, YEAH I KNOW RIGHT, how good is that title. I grabbed it without even flicking through the pages first.

Just look at this page will you!

Now me and chairs, we have a very strong bond happening...a deep kind of love that only other chair-a-holics (like you AMY) can grasp....LOL.
So this piccie i am LOVIN! It's so stinkin' cute! I think i need to buy some tiny chairs now.....

And this! I have lots of old bottles on top of my dresser...but this idea is so gorgeous i may have to do some rearranging!


There are sooo many gorgeous inspiring pages. I think i will go find a sunny spot in the garden and read a bit....

Sam borrowed some really sweet books too, and i chose one for him that im hoping will help his sadness with me leaving him at pre school. He goes Mon to Thurs from 9am to 11;30am, i would love to keep him home (as you all know) but its important that he learns to be in a school environment for next year when he starts Kindergarten.
So onward we trudge each day...to the gruelling and teary task of dropping Sam off at pre school.

This book is about a lil' Guinea Pig who misses his mummy so much...im hoping it will help Sam a bit...we can read it together and talk about how we can make it easier and more fun for him :)


This is how i picture him at Preschool...without me....ACK its an awful feeling.


SO i might just grab my little man now and take him out to the garden with me to the sunny spot and we will snuggle and read together and maybe eat some of those cookies i mentioned......
